1st Grade Bluebonnet Math Components
OPEN1.00 PD
Wednesday July 29, 2026 9:00am - 9:45am CDT
Limited Capacity filling up
In this session, teachers will learn about the four core components of Bluebonnet Math—Fluency, Application, Concept Development, and Debrief—and how they work together to build strong mathematical foundations in kindergarten. Participants will explore how each component supports young learners in developing number sense, problem-solving skills, and mathematical thinking. The session will highlight developmentally appropriate strategies, including hands-on models, math talk, and structured routines that engage all learners. Teachers will leave with a clear understanding of how to implement each component to create a cohesive, student-centered math block where kindergarten students actively explore, explain their thinking, and build confidence as mathematicians.
