Hooked on Reading: Engaging Strategies for HMH Into Reading
OPEN0.75 PD
Wednesday July 29, 2026 3:15pm - 4:00pm CDT
Limited Capacity filling up
In this session, you'll explore practical and effective ways to make HMH Into Reading come alive in your classroom. While the teacher's guide provides a strong foundation, following it page by page doesn't always guarantee student engagement. With vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and reading skills all competing for instructional time, it can feel overwhelming to fit everything into a lesson while keeping students actively involved.
Join us as we share creative strategies and engaging activities that help students connect with the content and make learning stick. Because no one knows your students better than you do, this session is designed to help you adapt HMH Into Reading to meet your learners' needs while building excitement for reading every day.
