Anna ISD Launch Week: Back to School 2026

This session explores the legal responsibilities, leadership dynamics, and procedural requirements of the campus administrator serving as the duly designated representative during ARD meetings and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs). Participants will learn how to confidently chair meetings, ensure procedural safeguards are maintained, and facilitate consensus among committee members while keeping the student at the center of all decisions. The session will also highlight the administrator's critical role in reviewing discipline data and disability connections during the MDR process, managing high-stakes or contentious meetings, and committing campus resources appropriately to ensure legal compliance and robust student support.
