About me
I began interpreting for Deaf students in 2003 and later transitioned to teaching ASL in 2015, developing the ASL program at the very high school where I first started my interpreting career. Teaching ASL is truly my passion, and it has been an incredible experience to share the beautiful language of the Deaf community with hearing students. I’m also teaching my five young grandsons how to sign so they can communicate with any Deaf individuals they meet. I firmly believe that everyone should learn this language, as we can encounter a Deaf person anywhere and at any time, and the ability to communicate even a little can make a meaningful difference.
